Set Your Starting Cash
Your cash float is the standard cash you keep in the drawer. Set it once in Admin, and every close-out balances on its own.

Go to Admin
It's a store setting, not a register one.

The list of every location you run.
Locations → your store

Enter the float
Your standard starting cash. Saves inline.

Running more than one register?
- On the same page, scroll to Cash drawers.
- Click Add cash drawer and name it for your shop.
- Set its float, then click Save. Each drawer closes out on its own.
How it saves
No Save button
The single Cash float field saves the moment you click out of the box. (Adding a named drawer does use Save.)
Why it matters: at close-out, Cash for deposit = counted Total minus Float. Set the float right and your Short/over lands at zero. Leave it wrong and you'll chase a phantom short or over every single day.
